He has been granted the “Maturità Classica” diploma and with honours the three years law degree in Genoa in 2005; then he graduated at the University of Milano in 2007 with a thesis on Essential Facilities in ports and airports.
He started the legal activity at Studio Maresca in 2007, becoming a partner in 2011, and was granted the right to practice on 2010.
He has spent training periods at two law offices in London (Norton Rose and MFB) where he mainly dealt with ship financing and maritime disputes.
He is a member of the Italian Maritime Law Association and has published case notes on judgments in the journal “Il Diritto Marittimo”, in particular on the liability of the maritime agent.
He has been councillor of the Regional Council of Liguria in the period 2010/2015.
Areas of principal interest: maritime contracts and litigation, forwarding and shipping agency, international trade, multimodal carriage, insurance, personal injury, shipping & compliance (health and safety at work, data protection, liability under Italian Law 231/01).
